The Queensland Veteran Golf Union comprises 21 Districts stretching from Cairns to the Tweed. The Union has over 9,100 members from over 100 golf clubs and in addition to the State Championships and State Carnival around 50 other open events are held throughout the State each year.
To become a veteran golfer you must be a person who has attained the age of 55 years, is a amateur golfer and is a financial playing member of a golf club affiliated with Golf Australia having a current Golf Australia handicap and is a member of a Veteran Association or Union or other body affiliated with the Australian Veteran Golf Union. A list of Veteran District secretaries is included in this web site. Membership can be arranged through the appropriate Secretary.
Please note: to play in GNQ Senior Open, players do not need to belong to Queensland Veterans Golf Union, male players must have attained the age of 55 years and female players 50 years.
